If you are one of the army of serious gardening enthusiasts, a garden tool rack organizer might just be a necessity for you. What better way is there to make sure that all of your tools and other implements are organized in a place where you can always find them? It doesn’t matter if gardening is a hobby or mere chore; a garden tool storage rack can save you lots of frustrating time otherwise wasted on looking for that specific spade, rake or trowel.

In general, garden tool racks can be either free-standing or wall-mounted and only you will have an idea of which might best suit your own situation.

One of the simplest ways of providing organization would be to put up a garden tool wall rack. If you are lacking sufficient space in the garage or shed, using the wall can be one of the most efficient storage methods. Whether or not you use an exterior wall for this purpose depends on whether you deem it a reasonable security risk. Having your stuff stolen is certainly not efficient!

By searching online you will find various styles of garden tool organizers that may be suitable for you. As an example, one that I found is made from fabric in the form of vinyl coated mesh to keep down the weight. Long handled implements like rakes and spades are catered for by eight deep pockets, whilst more compact hand tools like plant clippers and trowels are placed in the eight smaller pockets provided. It also has special spaces to store cumbersome things like extension cords or hoses, all of which can be quickly released or secured by a buckle. Best of all, it is portable and can be dismounted and moved to a more practical location if so desired.

As well as wall-mounted models, there is also the option of floor based storage. If you prefer this you can get free-standing pieces with pre-drilled holes and hardware that take up as little as three square feet. There are twelve holes in a grid pattern into which long handled tools can easily be inserted.

An even simpler idea is the bracket and hooks system of storage, perfect if you are really tight on space. An example would be to have three, eight inch hooks on a tough wire bracket that can endure the weight of your heaviest tools.

In the end, an efficient garden tool organizer is great because it allows you more time to be doing the things that actually matter in the garden, rather than wasting time searching here, there and everywhere for that missing vital trowel.
